SCIENCE MEETS EXPERIENCE

Experience a Different Kind of Pitching Coach

What happens when you combine a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy with 16 years in the Tincher Pitching organization and a Division I playing career? You get an approach that treats pitching as what it truly is a complex human occupation influenced by arm health, movement quality, mental resilience, lifestyle habits, and personal identity. Elise brings a unique perspective shaped by personal experience, including overcoming a career-altering shoulder injury to earn two Top-20 wins her senior season while throwing the slowest velocity of her college career. That journey reinforced a core belief: success is not defined by velocity alone, but by movement efficiency, adaptability, and mental toughness.

SUCCESS STORIES

What Parents & Athletes Say

From youth athletes discovering their potential to college-bound pitchers refining their craft, our athletes develop the skills, confidence, and mental toughness to compete at the highest levels.

"My daughter first came to see Elise when she was 6.5 years old. Elise was so patient with her even when she absolutely refused to accept change and cried half the lesson. Moving forward, we found out that my daughter suffers with selective mutism. Elise used her skills as not only a pitching instructor but also OT and helped us navigate. This past fall, Addy had her opportunity on the pitching mound and was very successful at 8 years old playing against kids 2 years older than her. We know that none of this would have been possible if we hadn't started her pitching journey with Elise. Elise has never once focused on how fast she pitches the ball, learning new pitches, or rushing the process. Instead, she focuses on the technique and making sure that she is working with her body instead of against it and that it is still fun for her and not something she is forced to do. It is easy to see that Elise puts her heart and all of her students best interests first. She pushes her students to be the best version of themselves that they can be."

"My daughter, Jil Livengood, always wanted a female pitching coach that played the game at the D1 level. We were advised by NCAA POY, Lacey Waldrop, to get as many eyes on Jil because every pitching coach will find something different to focus on. And she was correct! Some coaches focus on analytics, grips, leg drive, strong front side and softball pitching IQ. Elise was our Tincher Instructor the last couple years of HS that brought a lil more, developing a positive mindset that took her pitching to another level. Jil would not have been recruited by numerous Power 4 schools without Elise in her corner keeping pitching light and letting her just throw into that tarp! Dr Elise as we call her, is a lil bit of all her coaches she saw over the years, but being a female, former D1 pitcher who played the game and uses her occupational therapy background is unprecedented. Only wish she could have followed her to UNC!!!"

- Joel Livengood

"Elise has truly helped me not only become a better pitcher but a better person overall. I love her teaching style and the way she works with each student differently in order for them to meet their full potential. Her unwavering support, great personality, and obviously her knowledge about the craft of pitching is something I'm so grateful for and I'm truly blessed that God allowed our paths to cross!"

- Madison Jones

Friendly but focused instructor. I've seen incredible progress in my daughter in the short time we've been with Tincher!
